Contract types
Six template families, each with a payoff shape, editable parameters, and a canonical settlement schema. All six have been end-to-end traded through the wire and are shipped in the terminal's template library.
spot1 · Spot
The simplest instrument. Buy or sell N units of an asset at price P for value date D.
- Fields — und (underlying), side (buy/sell), qty, price, value_date
- Payoff — linear. Slope = ±qty.
- Settlement — deliver-vs-payment on value date, on-chain or bilateral.
- Use — outright FX, spot metals, stablecoin swaps.
collar1 · Collar
Bought floor, sold cap, zero-cost or paid premium. Bounded downside, capped upside.
- Fields — und, mode (zero-cost or premium), floor, cap, qty, prem, exp
- Payoff — flat below floor, linear between, flat above cap.
- Settlement — cash-settled at expiry against reference fix. Deployed onchain contract: CollarDealV2 (Polygon/Base).
- Use — hedging a long spot position, corporate FX collar.
digital1 · Digital
Binary. Pays out fixed amount if spot ≥ strike at expiry, else nothing.
- Fields — und, strike, payout, prem, exp
- Payoff — step at strike, height = payout.
- Settlement — one-shot cash payment on the fix.
- Use — event bets, threshold hedges, structured note components.
spread1 · Spread
Buy call at K1, sell call at K2 (K2 > K1). Bull call spread.
- Fields — und, k1, k2, qty, prem, exp
- Payoff — flat below K1, linear between K1 and K2, flat above K2.
- Settlement — cash-settled at expiry.
- Use — bounded bullish view, cheaper than outright long call.
straddle1 · Straddle
Long call + long put at same strike. Vol play.
- Fields — und, strike, qty, prem, exp
- Payoff — V-shape centred on strike. Profit if spot moves either way beyond premium.
- Settlement — cash-settled at expiry against ATM fix.
- Use — pre-event vol trades, tail risk exposure.
butterfly1 · Butterfly
Long K1 call + short 2× K2 call + long K3 call (K2 = midpoint). Pinned view.
- Fields — und, k1, k2, k3, qty, prem, exp
- Payoff — tent centred on K2. Max profit if spot pins at K2.
- Settlement — cash-settled at expiry.
- Use — high-conviction pin, low-cost gamma-neutral position.
Templates
The template library ships with one trade-verified example per type. Loading a template hydrates the builder with tested parameters. The green "TRADED" badge and transcript ID (tid) prove the template has actually cleared the wire end-to-end.
